YouTransactor equips the Municipal Police of Tours with its Electronic FiNES solution

One of the largest cities in central France – Tours, has taken a major step towards upgrading its electronic fines terminals by turning to a new digital solution provided by YouTransactor. With the objective to modernize the operational services of the city’s municipal police, this key investment will reinforce the public safety of nearly 140,000 residents of this beautiful French town.

The solution will help 140 police officers of this city to issue electronic fines from their smartphone in a fast and reliable way, thus simplifying their administrative follow-up tasks and avoiding transcription errors. This solution will also benefit the citizens as electronic fines will prevent the loss or theft of windshield fines, which in turn will reduce the risk of facing an increased amount of fines.

In recent years, electronic fines have made a significant contribution to reducing traffic violations (such as speeding, incorrect parking, driving on the wrong side, etc.) and we hope to achieve the same in the city of Tours as well.

During the event of TechnoDay at Fondation Louis Vuitton, YouTransactor was presented with an award for “Best Small & Medium Enterprise” by STMicroelectronics. This award was granted due to the successful collaboration between YouTransactor- a disruptor of payment solutions, and STMicroelectronics- a global semiconductor leader, for the project YTSECPCI.

Combining YouTransactor’s prowess in security and point-of-sale payment terminals and STMicroelectronics’ chip-design expertise, YTSECPCI was developed, commercialized and deployed successfully in 50,000 payment terminals, with over 1 million devices already ordered for the year 2019-2020.

The YTSECPCI chip, based on STM32 microcontroller, embeds all physical security mechanisms required by PCI PTS (Payment Card Industry- PIN Transaction Security), including mesh monitoring, switch monitoring, firmware loading, etc. as a software. The terminals designed using this ultra-low-power consuming and cost-effective microchip support contact and contactless payments, as the chip is pre-certified to PCI specifications.

With the help of this customized solution provided by STMicroelectronics, YouTransactor aims to make secure technology easily accessible to merchant service providers to create a seamless experience between end consumers and merchants of all sizes and all industry verticals.

The city of Lyon, second largest urban area of France, has taken a major step in upgrading its electronic fines devices to a brand new digital solution provided by YouTransactor. This key investment will support the city in its plan to modernise operational services of its Municipal Police, ensuring public safety of half a million people in the metropolis.

The solution will help the city’s 350 police officers to issue electronic fines from their smartphone in a fast and reliable way, simplifying their administrative follow-up tasks, and avoiding transcription errors of old paper based fines. For the public, electronic fines will prevent loss or theft of fine payment stamps from windscreens, minimizing the risk of increased fines. 

Over the last years, electronic fines have significantly helped lower road traffic offenses (parking, failure to give way, driving against the flow of traffic, speeding etc.) to make cities safer.

City of Le Havre chooses YouTransactor to deliver road traffic fines solution

YouTransactor, French leader in payment solutions, is selected by the city of Le Havre to implement its new generation of electronic fines.
This port city, with its 170 000 inhabitants, aims to ensure tranquility and safety in public areas to its residents. The city of Le Havre will reinforce urban security for its citizens by equipping the police forces with YouTransactor electronic fines solution. This is part of a modernization plan and digital strategy supported by the Seine-Maritime local government.
The solution, used to manage minor offenses of French highway code, will ensure security of pedestrians and vehicles. It will also support the city in maintaining its clean street policy by verbalizing unauthorized rubbish dumping.
